Cold winter weather in these days means an early and beautiful spring. Nice weather on the days of the blackbird, however, predicts a late spring. The material for this film was made in 2017 on one of the last three days of January. I was on my way by train to Rome. Just in this moment I was in the middle of Lombardy. The area that became 2020 the epicenter of the pandemic in Europe. The sad images of Bergamo will be iconographic for us when we talk about the corona pandemic in the future. I have been associating a lot in the video installation with our situation for a year now. The suddenly slowed down and decelerated movement. The dreary, diffuse, sometimes confusing and unsettling atmosphere. The splitting of the whole into individual parts of the picture. Although the image content has not changed, completely new visual information is created when viewing it. I also had to think of us. Don't we as a society also feel split up during lockdown times, isolated in individual rooms? And yet we remain a whole.
